A little girl is
laying down
wanting to grow
up and be a
princess.
Instead she’s
wishing we’d
grab her hand.
We’d wipe her
tears and calm
her fears.
A little boy
is sitting there
wanting to grow
up and become a
man.
Instead he’s
wishing we’d
grab his hand,
we’d wipe his
tears and calm
his fears.
A teenager is
scared
wanting a family
filled with
loads of love.
Instead they’re
wishing we’d
grab their hand,
we’d wipe their
tears and calm
their fears.
An adult is
worn out
feeling life has
been difficult
enough.
Instead they’re
dreaming someone
would have
cared,
Someone would
have stepped up
and protected
them.
Won’t you be
that someone?
